February 28: Arrive New Orleans
Today arrive in New Orleans for a two-night stay in the exciting French Quarter. Tonight be sure to enjoy the “The Quarter” filled with fabulous restaurants and jazz clubs.
Overnight: New Orleans
March 1: New Oreans - French Quarter
This morning enjoy a French Quarter Walking Tour featuring the St. Louis Cathedral with adjoining Cabildo and rectory, Bourbon Street, Pirates Alley and the French Marketplace. Next visit the famous Café du Monde to enjoy café au lait and beignets. Later board the Steamboat Natchez for a relaxing Mississippi River Cruise which takes you back to when life was as slow and graceful as the current on the Mississippi. Listen to the sounds of Jazz and experience New Orleans from the river during your cruise. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner at the famous New Orleans School of Cooking which since 1980 has been entertaining visitors and introducing them to the wonderful food & rich culture of New Orleans and Louisiana.

March 2: New Orleans City Tour
Today enjoy a New Orleans City Tour. Visit the Garden District featuring one of the best preserved collections of historic southern mansions in the United States. Also stop to view an Above Ground Cemetery which are both historic & hauntingly beautiful. Later visit Mardi Gras World for a behind-the-scenes look at New Orleans most famous event. Learn about the history of the event & walk through the float den where artists have been working on floats for Mardi Gras since 1947. This afternoon travel to Biloxi, MS for a three night stay. Biloxi was first settled in 1699 making it one of the oldest communities in the country. Today, the city is a cultural melting pot set against a backdrop of sugar-white sand beaches with an array of museums and historic sites, tantalizing seafood restaurants and the excitement of casino resorts. This evening maybe take a stroll along a nearby piece of the Gulf Coast or try your luck on the casino floor.

March 3: Bellingrath Gardens - Mobile, AL
Today travel east into Alabama to visit Bellingrath Gardens & Home, the grand estate of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath is located on the Fowl River near Mobile. Walter Bellingrath was one of the first Coca-Cola bottlers in the Southeast, and with his wealth built the 65-acre complex. The beautiful estate is on the National Register of Historic Places, and features gardens & landscapes that showcase year-round floral pageantry. Later a short drive north brings you to the oldest city in Alabama, Mobile. The city features a historic downtown, centuries old homes and a rich past with French, Spanish, British, Creole, Catholic, Greek and African legacies. Enjoy a stop in Mobile to get a sense of its Gulf Coast & port city culture. Later return to Biloxi and enjoy the evening at leisure.

March 4: Biloxi Sightseeing
This morning enjoy a scenic drive of Gulf Island National Seashore which draws visitors for white sandy beaches, walking trails, recreation opportunities, nature preserves, bayous and history along the Gulf of Mexico. More than 80 percent of the park is submerged land teeming with marine life and live oak forests home to bird populations. Later return to Biloxi to visit the Maritime & Seafood Museum, established in 1986 to preserve and interpret the maritime history and heritage of Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The museum features an array of exhibits on shrimping, oystering, fishing, wetlands, charter boats, boat building, netmaking and numerous historic photographs and other related objects. Next enjoy a Biloxi Shrimp Boat Cruise where the pride & heritage of the area comes alive. The unique & interesting experience shows guests the spectacular world of local fishing on a real shrimping expedition. This evening enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers at a local restaurant in the Biloxi area where seafood is sure to be a menu choice.

March 5: Biloxi - New Orleans - Home
Today depart Biloxi and transfer to the New Orleans Airport for your flight home with wonderful memories of your Southern Harmony travel experience.
